  • Origin-  Golden Retrievers originated from the Scottish Highlands in the late 1800s. These dogs were predominantly use for hunting. Golden Retriever breed was developed by lord Tweedmouth by cross-breeding his yellow Retriever with the Tweed Water Spaniel.
  • Appearance- Golden Retrievers are medium size dogs, with rich, lustrous coat which usually come in gold and cream shade. The average height of a Golden Retriever is 22-24 inches tall, their weight ranges from 60-80 lbs and female are expected to be shorter in height and lighter in weight.
